Isla Ometepe is another must!  Its impressive & enigmatic profile, formed by its two volcanoes peaking out of lake Nicaragua never ceases to impress. It has a beautiful 5km long sandy beach, some nice, fun waves to surf & a real tranquilo vibe. You won’t find too many tourists or a big party here, but you will still find some good restaurants & cute coffee shops.  If you want a taste of a more quiet & traditional Nicaragua, las Peñitas is where you want to go.
